Capy Emotion ("the App", "we", "us") is an independent, individually-developed mood-tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

This app is not directed to children. It is intended for users 18 years of age or older, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

1. Data We Collect

Account data

• On first launch, the App creates an anonymous account tied to a random device ID, your timezone, and your consent choices (terms accepted, sensitive-data consent, marketing opt-in, consent version, age confirmation).
• If you choose to link Google Sign-In, we receive your Google email address to let you restore your account on another device. This is optional.

Mood & journal data — Special Category / Sensitive Health Data

• Mood entries you log: emotion type, intensity, optional free-text notes, context tags, and timestamp.
• This is health-related data. Under GDPR it is treated as a "special category" of data, and under CCPA/CPRA as "Sensitive Personal Information." We only process it on the basis of your explicit, separate consent (consent_sensitive_data), collected distinctly from your general Terms acceptance during onboarding — not bundled into a single "Accept" tap.
• You may withdraw this consent at any time by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing stops future syncing/processing of new entries but does not automatically delete previously stored data — use Delete Account (Section 6) to erase existing data.

Companion / progress data

• Your Dada companion state, visual looks, garden care moments, reflection journey chapters, and reflection rhythm.

Device & technical data

• Push notification token (if you enable notifications), device motion data (used only locally for companion animations), and standard technical data needed to operate the API (e.g., IP address in server logs).

Photos

• If you save a "mood card" image, the App requests photo library access to save the image to your device. We do not upload your photo library.
